Neli Dimitrova , Ivan Arabadjiev
5 july 2007 - 8 august 2007
Memory of the Earth [painting, ceramics]

The exhibition is called Memory of the Earth as the authors feel a certain bond and union to that eternal topic.
That can be felt in the paintings of Neli Dimitrova due to the peculiarities of the colorful imagery, the composite plastic structures and the image of the earth as a symbol of a shelter and a source of new life. Although abstract in their essence, they also contain within them the strong bond with the Earth as a part of the immense cosmic and the tiny daily routine.
The ceramic plastics of Ivan Arabadzhiev seem to be coming from the future to remain as a heritage for the next generations - thus they also belong to the Earth. Created from the eternal soil, they are transformed from traditional everyday objects into innovative artifacts.
This peculiar movement within time makes the millenniums seem simply seconds and the seconds - eternity. In memory of the Earth that we inhabit.

Solo painting exhibition from Rositsa Kozhuharova.

On 2 May, in gallery Art Plus was opened the one-man exhibition of the young Plovdiv artist - Rositsa Kozhuharova.
She was born in Plovdiv where she completed the High School of Arts. In 2002 she graduated the Academy of Arts in the city of Sofia, in the class of prof. Toma Varbanov, major - frescos. She is a member of the Association of the Plovdiv Artists and has been nominated for the prize "Young Artist".
Her works make people go back to the world of their childhood where everything is embraced in light, mild warmth and sense of happiness. In that fairy dream world Eva, with capital "W", lives happily, rocks on her toy-horse while the sun carves intricate ornaments through the complicated curves of the balcony rails. The colorful imagery turns from golden to mild blue, the pictorial structures are deep and complicated. The works radiate coziness and nostalgia of the passed childhood which we do not want to remain just a memory in the wheel of life.

An exhibition entitled "The angles - a door to life" was opened at Art Plus Gallery.
On Chinese paper, in lithographies and carved out of wood, the angels of Svetlozar Chavdarov will inspire life into the art gallery form 4th to 30th April.

Impressive is the artist's ability to design not simply forms but also space in between them. To influence "the emptiness" which absorbs light and gives birth to shadow, which fills the two- and three-dimensional forms with air. To let the material express itself through its exquisite structure.

The exhibition is dedicated to the angles, who even though visualized, make us question our idea of them.
Thus, standing in front of the artist's works, we should be able to see reflected that part of ourselves which makes us immortal in the divine sense of life.

"SMOOTH WATER" is the name of the joint project of Art Plus Gallery and Forma Design. This first exhibition in interior was opened on 22nd March and for one whole month it will charge with its ideas both the spirit and body of the guests of "Forma D" showroom in Plovdiv. The picturesque paintings of the Plovdiv artists Vasil Stoev, Vihra Grigorova, Milena Misheva, Lily Kyuchukova, Nikolay Nyagolov, Angel Gerdzhikov, Mariana Kalacheva, Rumen Nechev, Gancho Karabadzhakov from Arbanasi, Neli Dimitrova from Targovishte, Eleonora Hadzhinikolova from Pazardzhik and the academic Eli Stancheva and Zdravka Vasileva are an excellent addition to this sacred place for recreation and relaxation. The mixes styles of the artist Kolyo Karamfilov, his namesake - Kolyo Mishev, the young artists Boryana Kraevska and Georgi Shtarbev contribute for the ornamentally-oriented style of the interior. The textile wall panels of Silviya Necheva are a feast for the eyes while the admirers of plastics can delight in the three-dimensional ceramics of Rumen Nechev, Tsvetana Peeva and the sculptures of Sarkis Nersesyan…

We are on the brink of the most feminine and most typically spring month and to mark this occasion gallery "Art Plus" presents 15 women-artists in an exhibition with the meaningful name "Ladies' Invitation". They come from different towns but are united by the idea to present the better half of mankind in terms of artistry and creativity.

Aglika Petrova, Boryana Kraevska, Vihra Grigorova, Daniela Nencheva, Eleonora Hadzhinikolova, Eli Stancheva, Zdravka Vasileva, Kalina Atanasova, Lili Kyuchukova, Mariana Kalacheva, Milena Misheva, Neli Dimitrova, Rositsa Kozhuharova and Sevliya Todorova present paintings while Evelina Petkova presents sculptures. This is a wiser yet more sensual tale of life, of poetry and erotica, of the unsaid truths and the shared silence.

Talking about spring, blooming and the forthcoming women's holiday, the stronger sex has no other option but to honour the exhibition… Dearest men, you simply cannot ignore the invitation of 15 ladies! Who can resist such a tempting offer…

"Art Plus" began the new 2007 year as a visiting gallery. We received an invitation by the Association of the Artists in Pazardzhik and on 28 January we opened an exhibition in the "Georgi Mashev" gallery. The purpose of the vernisage was to present the collection which "Art Plus" had gathered during the last two years. The main objective was to popularize worthy Bulgarian artists represented by both recognized and young creators. Pazardzhik is one of the first towns in the country to present the exhibition. The latter can also be seen in Panagyurishte in the period from 16 February to the end of March at the Exhibition Hall of the Historical Museum.

On 13 February we opened a second exhibition at the Tourist Information Center in Hissar. We presented once again a group of artists and creators. Vasil Stoev, Gancho Karabadzhakov, Eli Stancheva, Vihra Grigorova, Georgi Shtarbev, Eleonora Hadzhinikolova, Nikolay Nyagolov, Lili Kyuchukova, Evgeniy Petrov, Zdravka Vasileva, Ivan Milev, Mariana Kalacheva and Neli Dimitrova, inspired by the topic "Wine and Love", reproduced onto their canvases the eternal issues of love and beauty. For the pleasant atmosphere of the happening contributed the verses of Evtim Evtimov and the produce of the Wine Cellar of Starosel.

The exhibition will be opened until 17 March.

The exhibition can be also seen in Panagyurishte in the period from 16 February to the end of March in the Exhibition Hall of the Historical Museum. The invitation was made by the Municipality of Panagyurishte, department of "Culture" and is closely connected with the long-term desire of the local artists a Town Art Gallery to be established in their town.
